onan wrote:Yes, I agree with StudentGuru about taking action. One of the techniques I make in finding scholarships is putting a &as_qdr=m at the end of the search result URL in google. What it does is show only the results that have been posted in the past month.

For example, Since I'm from a developing country, I would like to search using the keyword "scholarships for developing countries". I would enter this keyword in google. When google returns with the results, i place &as_qdr=m at the end of that url then I press enter. It looks something like this:

In this way, I can search for scholarships that has just been updated or had just opened. You can also search entries in the past 24 hours, week, 1 year. Whatever suits your needs.

If I may add, many people from developing countries are unaware of the number of scholarships available specifically for them. So in addition to the superb list that StudentGuru has made, I'd like to share websites that can help one find scholarships for developing countries:

- scholarships for african students searching for scholarships abroad
- scholarships for developing countries

yes i also agree with you all that student guru provides a best information for brilliant students who are looking for a scholarship . and if i m using you code &as_qdr=m at the last of the address it not working like this reddit(dot)com/&as_qdr=m ....not working ...so please explain it for me that i found the efficient search .

I think stopping fee is not possible, but reduce the lending rates of genomics is quite realistic

What this post does not mention and what most students do not realise is that the better institutions automatically consider all applicants based on their individual merits. If you are not sure how to best illustrate your merits feel free to [email protected] for more details.

You are correct that a good source of aid is schools themselves. There are currently six universities in the United States that offer "need-blind" admissions to international students, here they are:

MIT, Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Massachusetts
Harvard University in Massachusetts
Princeton University in New Jersey
Yale University in Connecticut
Dartmouth College in New Hampshire
Amherst College in Massachusetts

Need-blind admissions means that applications from international students will be reviewed and acted upon regardless of the student's ability to pay the tuition. If an international student is admitted to one of these six schools, then the school will provide enough aid that the student's proven financial situation will permit him/her to attend.

However, there are 3,000 schools in the US, and other than these six, schools will consider your ability to pay when they make an admission decision. Some will provide some aid, though perhaps not all you need; some will provide no aid at all and leave it up to the student to come up with and prove they have the necessary funds.

In addition to these six, there's a list here of schools that provide some amount of aid to international students - it is by no means complete but a good start in addition to the other resources mentioned by Student Guru:

I hope this helps.

My name is Mica and I am international student from Brazil. I'm in my senior year at Utah Valley University and I need some serious help. I only have 2 semesters left to graduate! My recourses are over and I have an unique situation as well...

Have you ever watched the movie "We Bought a Zoo" ? In it, Matt Damon says that sometimes all it takes is 20 seconds of insane courage for something really great to happen.
These are my 20 seconds. It takes insane courage for me to own up to my vulnerability and incapability of overcoming this barrier on my own. I am asking for help.

I would like to share the link to my GoFundMe page. Please consider reading my story before turning away from this link:

I know many don't have financial means for this, but all I ask is that you share this link on your page. Truly any small amount is appreciated. But what I would appreciate even more is if you could SHARE this link in your social media. Please help a fellow international student out?

20 seconds of insane courage.

I agree that secret of winning scholarship it's discovering the best scholarship resources, proper research before submitting an application (you have to be eligible for particular scholarship), great and sincere scholarship essay and faith in your win! 8)

Besides, if you interested in studying at some specific university, firstly check the web page of this uni - many of universities have their own Financial Aid page with available scholarships for their prospective students.
